England's potential route in the World Cup knockout stages

Find out who the Three Lions could face if they keep progressing in North America

England continue their FIFA World Cup 2026 journey with a Quarter-Final clash against Norway in Miami on Saturday 11 July.

Thomas Tuchel’s men topped Group L and knocked out DR Congo in the Round of 32, with Harry Kane’s second-half brace proving the difference in Atlanta.

And after securing a thrilling 3-2 win against Javier Aguirre’s Mexico in the early hours of Monday 6 July to reach the last eight, we now run through England’s potential route to the World Cup final on 19 July, including dates, kick-off times, locations and opponents.

Quarter-final
Saturday 11 July, 10pm BST
Miami Stadium


After victory over Mexico, their next game will be back in the United States against Norway.

The quarter-final will take place at Miami Stadium in Miami, Florida on Saturday 11 July. Kick-off will be 10pm BST.

Norway beat Brazil by 2-1 in their Round of 32 tie, with Erling Haaland scoring both goals in the New York New Jersey Stadium.

Semi-final
Wednesday 15 July, 8pm BST
Atlanta Stadium


If the Three Lions are successful in their quarter-final in Miami, it’ll be a return to Atlanta for Tuchel and his players on Wednesday 15 July for the semi-final.

The last four tie will kick off at 8pm BST at Atlanta Stadium, with four potential opponents as the Round of 16 games continue across North America this week.

As it stands, England could face Switzerland, Colombia, Egypt or Argentina.

Final
Sunday 19 July, 8pm BST
New York New Jersey Stadium


Should Harry Kane and Co. emerge triumphant in their semi-final, they’ll be heading back to New York New Jersey Stadium for their first FIFA World Cup final in 60 years.

The venue for the Three Lions’ 2-0 group stage win over Panama, the stadium will host 82,500 fans for the showpiece event on Sunday 19 July. Kick-off is 8pm BST.

England currently have six potential opponents: France, Spain, Portugal, Morocco, USA and Belgium.
