England WU19s squad named for European Qualifiers

New head coach John Salomon has named a 21-player squad for the first round of UEFA Women’s U19 European qualifying.
 
The Young Lionesses will travel to Bosnia & Herzegovina in October for three qualifying fixtures. Salomon’s side will first play Denmark on Wednesday 7 October (12pm BST), before playing Switzerland on Saturday 10 October (12pm BST) and wrapping up group A5 against hosts Bosnia & Herzegovina on Tuesday 13 October (12pm BST). 
 
The top three sides will progress to the second round of qualifying in April next year, where the group winners will secure their place at the UEFA Women’s U19 EURO finals in Hungary in June. The tournament will also provide a route to qualification for the 2028 FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.
 
This will be Salomon’s first window in charge of the WU19s after being appointed permanent head coach earlier this year, having previously led England’s WU16s and WU15s.

Qualifying for a EUROs is always a big ambition and we want to put ourselves in the strongest possible position.
